3 Years… and Counting!
It’s been three years since we rebranded to Workshop Media and it’s been an interesting journey so far. Don’t worry though we haven’t finished our journey yet!
It’s always useful to take stock. This blog post is a look back at why we originally changed from film production to video marketing and share where we are going in the future.
We’ve always made videos for business use (now clocking over 10 years). We enjoy it and, I’ll be bold enough to say, we are very good at it. The one thing that troubled us though 3 years ago was the fact that many people struggled to articulate what they wanted from video and pretty much all of them weren’t sure what to do with it after they had it.
So we decided we would change our business to help. Help our clients have a concrete purpose for their videos, help them with the ideas that went into the videos, help take all the stress of the production process from them and help them to make sure their videos were seen and achieved the results they wanted.
We like to practice what we preach so we threw ourselves into using the methods and the processes of getting our message out there. It must have worked because since we started with Workshop Media our feet haven’t touched the ground keeping up with the enquiries and work our approach has yielded.
And yes our blogs have suffered. But we are proud to say our clients haven’t, all of them have experienced growth and we have travelled with them. We have had a part to play in their growth and that makes our job worthwhile (as well as a profitable business).
But we can’t rest on our laurels. We have achieved everything we wanted to achieve when we set out 3 years ago. Now we are looking at a new set of objectives:
- We want to help brands tell their stories and push the limits of our creativity
- We want to tackle specific sectors where video can really help communicate messages
- We want to take on more clients, to do that we need to grow in size and build our team
- We want to be THE go to business for video. To do that we have to deliver amazing value and even better customer service
And yes… we need to blog more often! J
