(THE VIDEO IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK AFTER 2 MINS 40)
My answer would definitely be Elvis. Every time. Not sure what that tells you about me but I’ll break it down. I like the Beatles, I grew up with Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band as one of the only records in my house as a kid that wasn’t Classical Music or recordings of Shakespeare plays.
But it has to be Elvis’ voice. The individual voice that rings through for me. And the tone, there is something classically vintage about Elvis. Not ‘vintage’ but reassuringly in the Golden Age of the past like Hollywood spared some last magic for him (although the movies on the whole were terrible).
So now you know me. Who am I? I’m David (DT) Guest. I go by DT mostly because there are too many Dave Guests out there. Also there is another Dave in the office so it makes it easier to be identified. I’m the Managing Director of Workshop Media *cue fanfare*.
Do I wait to talk? No I’m more of a listener but once I get going on a topic I REALLY get going.
And that’s what I plan to do on this blog. I want to talk about what really gets me going. We are starting to look at turning our ‘business with a logo’ into a brand and I’ll be sharing what we are doing and how we do it. I’m anticipating some dead ends in our journey but even those will be enlightening.
I’ll also be sharing a video diary, ‘shot on location’ out and about, talking on what’s on my mind. Like a diary. But on video. I’ll be using my iPhone to show what can be done with video with what you’ve got in your pocket.
Oh and my favourite way to say thank you in a foreign language is ‘diolch’, did I mention I was Welsh?! 😀
